Maxine’s POV

I was reminded of Nick too. He was still in the dungeon. Along with his cousin Ariel, and his other rogue buddies. I hadn't seen him since that day and I hadn't also bothered to go visit him in the dungeon.

I was really curious to know how he was doing. If it weren't for the fact that he was a rogue who went around murdering other wolves, I think I and I would have been really good friends.

Just as I neared Tobias' and Ella’s house, I saw her step out with a watering can in tow. Her stomach was showing a lot more now and she had that gentleness and carefulness of a pregnant woman.

Her hair was in a messy bun on top of her head and she was wearing a maternal top. I knew that if I were to go through her wardrobe now, I was sure that she would have adjusted to the fact that she was expecting a baby.

She would be wearing bigger gowns and blouses now. Pregnancy looked good on her though.
