Maxine’s POV

"I don't know what to think anymore," Ella added, sadly. "I'm scared and it makes me feel sick to my stomach."

I grabbed her hand. "You need to talk to him then. Find out the truth. All this worrying and crying isn't good for the baby." I reminded her. "Your health is more important. Will you do that for me? Talk to Tobias about this?"

Ella nodded. "Okay. I'll talk to him tonight. Whatever happens, I'll let you know."

I smiled. "I'm sure it's nothing and you've been worrying yourself for the wrong reasons. You'll see." I reassured her.

I hoped it was true. I hoped that all this was just some laughable thought and that Tobias wasn't cheating. Because a woman's instinct to cheat partners isn't always wrong.

"Now eat before it gets cold," I said.
