“The god of Lycan!” Kaito exclaimed, holding his heart to stop it from falling out of his chest. “What was that for?”

Imani had taken off her platform boots, causing Kaito to tower over her. He looked down at her small figure and if she wasn’t a pain in the ass, he would have tagged her as cute.

“Where are you sneaking off to?” She narrowed her eyes at him and he maneuvered his way around her.

“Out to do important things and I’m not sneaking out.” He replied, gripping the door knob.

“I want to come with you.” She announced and Kaito squeezed his eyes shut, letting his lips fall into a flat line.

“I—” Kaito was stopped mid-sentence when he turned to meet her scowl.

“I’m coming with,” She said slowly, stressing each syllable with a snare. “I’ll just get my boots.”

She disappeared into Akiko’s room and rushed out, looking tall once again.

“Shall we?” He cocked up his eyebrows and she nodded, while he held the door open for her.
