Chapter 14

Kaito fluttered his eyes open and a gut-wrenching pain stabbed at his forehead. His vision was blurry and he could hear the sound of water dripping into a puddle.

His nose caught the smell of something damp. He regained clear eyesight and beheld a cave with bats hanging down from above.

“Where am I?” He groaned, attempting to sit up but winced when a sharp pain drove its way into his skull.

He turned his head to the left and made out the form of a woman sitting on a stone. He jolted to his feet, caring for his head with his hand.

“Who are you?!” He growled, eyes flashing red as his wolf threatened to emerge.

“The one who is going to kill you!” She launched at him, gripping his neck with both her hands.

Kaito’s heart skipped a beat and he tottered, crashing his back against the wet wall of the cave.

Her eyes flashed in every shade of green as her teeth turned into shark-like teeth. Kaito dropped on all fours with her pressing his neck.
