Chapter 11

Kaito and Imani rose to their feet, curiosity brewing in them as they watched the entirety of the park gather around the men in uniforms.

“What’s happening?” Imani asked Kaito and he shook his head, as dazed as everyone else.

Another ear-splitting scream rang out through the entire park and Kaito weaved his way through the crowd till he could see what was happening.

He turned pale as he beheld the sight in front of him.

He felt Imani squeeze herself between him and a chubby woman who did nothing other than shout, “Kill her, she’s a witch!”

Kaito watched the men pin a woman to the ground and handcuffed her. They gripped each of her arms and willed her into a standing position.

“I didn’t do anything to her!” The supposed witch screamed with bloodshot eyes as she struggled, throwing kicks in the air, and her dirty brown hair flew around in messy arrays as she aimlessly fought to be free.
