After breakfast, Andra guided me through the penthouse and to a study that had a large library attached to it before telling me what the plan was for the day.

“Master has arranged for a tutor to come test your intellect today. Since you were enslaved by a wolf pack, we are aware that your education may be lacking,” Andra explained. “If you wish to integrate into the city life successfully, you need to have a basic education at least to get started.”

“I know how to read and write,” I offered.

“Then you are more educated than most slaves,” Andra commented. “However, there are a plethora of other basic skills one needs to live on their own.”

I rolled my eyes at her, not really caring too much about gaining an education.

“What if I just want to leave the city? To leave the wolf pack behind completely?” I asked her. “Surely there are other places far away from the Hallow Wood Pack where I can live.”
