When I awoke, I could feel a pleasurable soreness throughout my body. My brain was in a haze as I tried to remember what had led to such a sensation. My eyes shot open as I jolted to being fully awake from the memory of being embraced by Killian.

I was in an unfamiliar, dimly lit room with something heavy holding me in place. I reached out to touch the heavy object lying across my torso and started to panic as I realized it was a large arm.

As my eyes adjusted to the dim light, I could now see Killian’s face just inches away from mine. One of his large arms lay across my torso, keeping me firmly within his reach.

“Shit,” I whispered.
