Chapter 8

I covered my mouth to silence myself as much as possible as I hid in the walk-in closet. I listened as Elizabeth was in the bedroom, looking for me.

“Where is she?” she barked at Liam.

“Who?” Liam said weakly.

“That outcast, Villi!” she screamed. “That slut clearly did something to convince Adal to make her his Luna!” she accused me.

I was not surprised to hear her claim that I did something salacious to get a higher ranking than her.

“I bet she slept with him in order to convince him to make her a higher status!”

“So…” Liam started to speak. “…the two of them are fighting over her?” he asked aloud.

Neither Elizabeth nor I seemed to understand what he was talking about.

“Where is she?” Elizabeth yelled, refocusing the Beta wolf.

“Fuck you,” Liam spat at her.

I could hear as she slammed him down onto the hardwood floor of the bedroom.

“You dare disrespect your rightful Luna?” she screeched as I heard the continuous sou
