There was a football game the week after the one I spent totally involved in Edward's interests, and, consequently, a higher frequency of rehearsals for the cheerleading group began. That's why I could barely get back to your calls.
I almost didn't always leave school at the same time, and I got home so late that I couldn't do more than take off my uniform and fall into bed. As soon as it appeared in my life, Edward began to withdraw, thinking that I had new plans and that I would not like to include him in them.
We didn't talk about it. We never said if he believed, even for a second, that I would have enough willpower to get him out of my life so abruptly. I just couldn't get enough time to tell him the motivations for that disappearance.
