My friends had the same nature as their family. They believed a lot that good hygiene and good appearance counted more than anything else. Even so, on that sunny afternoon of a distant summer, they laughed in loud voices and gave very fat tips for the good service we received. No one made any comment about the excessively undue fat of the pork burger we ordered, nor about how much-condensed milk was put in our Milkshakes. Those were the first and only afternoon of my life when I could feel like a normal teenager, and not the daughter of a great exporter of cosmetics, nor like the twin who had been found suspiciously in the waters where her brother had died.
Despite the forcibly friendly smiles that the employees gave us, Edward and I tried not to give too much opening for them to approach.
