Chapter 12
"I believe in you," stressed my boyfriend's ex-girlfriend, moving away slightly to see my face. She raised a hand to my face and repeated with even more conviction: "I believe in you, L. And if you tell me that he won't come back, that he wanted that, then I accept."
It was not very difficult for people to spend much of it before the start of classes or the breaks wanting to know what I was doing, and to see me leaning in one of the closets with my arms around another girl and in very close and intimate gestures, was even more a reason to continue the observation. No one said anything, though, considering that girls could hug each other with intimacy and without ulterior motives, unlike boys. Still, I took the hand that the girl took to my face and pushed it away slightly, opening a weak smile.
