Chapter 9
Uriah slowly lifted his hooded eyes and cocked an eyebrow at her in question. She moved closer to the table and dumped the file in front of him. He looked at the file and back at her in question.
“I printed out the details for your trip on Saturday. I thought you might need it,” she informed him. She had received an email over the weekend telling her that she needed to prepare documents for a meeting in Georgia next weekend. Uriah nodded dismissively. She turned around to go, but stopped and turned to look at him again.
She was fuming. Uriah could see it, but he made sure to maintain the same bored expression he always wore. “How do you manage to sleep at night?” She hissed, unable to hold back the anger which was threatening to split her head in half. Uriah tapped on his chin and lifted one eyebrow. “You text people for dinner and stand them up and decide to never call. Is that what you do when people reject your offer for sex?”
“What are you blabbering about?”
