Chapter 17

When I entered the office, they looked at me like I was an actor. I'm usually quiet on social media so they may have wondered why I suddenly rant on FB and the issue is still cheating.

I saw in their eyes that they felt sorry for me but I didn't need pity. Even Ma'am Rona has a different view of me. I just bowed and went straight to my desk. What happened is still fresh so I don't want to talk about it in the office.

“I told you before that Brent did something amazing behind your back, you don't want to believe it,” Lorena said in a loud voice so that the others suddenly looked at my colleagues.

I regretted my rant on FB and I also regretted sharing with Lorena about Aika's pregnancy. “Let's talk about that later,” I told him.

As usual, I opened my computer and while waiting for all the emails to load, I went to the pantry to make coffee. I tried to act like nothing happened but our manager cornered me and Lorena was with him.

“Is what I read on FB true?”
