Two days later, Jake was allowed to go home as long as he was careful not to be too stressed so as not to trigger his seizure. I was happy that we could go home and the joy in Jake's eyes when he woke up with me was the first thing he saw in my heart.

"Baby," he said in a voice that sounded like he wanted to cry.

"Welcome back, baby," I said and immediately hugged him tightly. "I miss you so much, do you know that?" I asked him and because he was crying again, the man just nodded but he hugged me back.

"I have nothing to show you, baby. I'm ashamed," he admitted.

"Gosh, even you, you're strong enough for me! But I wish you had told me about your illness right away. If only I had known then, I wouldn't have tired you on the trip. I wish I was the only one who went to you," I said and it was true. At that time I could do anything for him.
