Chapter 47

As I have guessed, Jacob is in the kitchen. He was cooking and I simply walked towards him. "I am not a whore," I whispered while taking my coffee and he just snorted. "Don't think I'm going to be ignored, Jacob!"

"Who said I would do that? Waste of time, Natalia. In fact, I should be glad that you're here," he responded coldly.

I could tell his statement had a double meaning so I asked, "What do you mean?"

To be honest, I was hurt by his insensitivity, but I managed to hide my emotions well. "Really? I'm sorry. I just can imagine how Jake will react about this," I said while sniffling like I was going to cry. "I'm sorry for what I did so I think it's better to come clean about here." My voice trembled as I imagined my husband's face in the confrontation but Jacob's eyes were worse. He paled at the thought of Jake discovering our encounter.

"You can't tell him!"

"This is the right thing to do, Jacob!" I tried to confess the truth to my husband but Jacob tried
