“I’m just…worried,” I said finally, looking up at him. “About you, about us. There’s so much we don’t know, and it scares me sometimes.” I said to him worriedly.

Kanen’s expression softened, and he reached out to gently cup my face. “Rose,” he said, his voice filled with tenderness. “I know things aren’t right now, but we’ll get through it. Together.” he said, his words filled with encouragement.

I leaned into his touch, closing my eyes for a moment as I let his words sink in me. “I want to believe that,” I whispered, my voice barely audible. “I really do.” I said to him hopefully.

“Then believe it,” he said, his tone firm yet gentle. “We’ve faced worse, haven’t we? And we’ve always found a way. This time will be no different.” he told me, still encouraging me.
