Rose’s POV

The sun has disappeared, it was night already and we had to look for a safe place to sleep tonight.

We finally spotted a cave. We had been walking for hours, and the sight of a place to rest felt like a blessing.

I was tired, and I could tell Elise felt the same way. The cool breeze of the evening made me shiver, and the idea of being under a shelter for the night was comforting.

“There,” I pointed to the dark entrance. “That cave should be a good place to stop for the night.” I told Elise and she turned to see the direction I was pointing to.

Elise nodded, her face showing signs of relief. “Thank goodness. I don’t think I could take another step.” Elise said, telling me how tired she is.

We made our way to the cave, our feet dragging on the forest ground, as we walked tirelessly from the long day.

The inside of the cave was cold and dark, but it felt safe.

The walls were very old, and the sound of dripping water echo
