I smiled at the memory. “How could I forget? You were so serious, all business.” I said as I laughed out loud.

Elise laughed, shaking her head. “I was, wasn’t I? I didn’t know what to make of you at first. You seemed so carefree, like nothing could bother you.” she said let me know my kind of personality.

“I guess I just didn’t want to show how nervous I was,” I admitted. “I was trying to make a good impression.” I said, giving her my reasons for being like that.

“Well, you did,” Elise said with a grin. “I thought you were the bravest person I’d ever met.” Elise said, telling how brave I look.

I blushed a little at the compliment. “I don’t know about that. I was just trying to keep up with you.” I then gave her answers.

We both laughed at that, the sound echoing around the cave.

It felt good to laugh, to let go of the tension that had been building up all day.
