Rose’s POV

“Hey, my little troublemakers,” I said, kneeling down to their level and pulling them into a warm hug. “I’ve missed you both.” I told them joyfully.

“I’ve been busy,” I replied, ruffling their hair. “But I’m here now. How are my favorite people doing?” I said to them as if they were old enough to hear me.

They were so young, so full of life, and they had no idea what I was about to do.

I wanted to protect them from everything, to keep them safe from the world’s dangers, but I knew I couldn’t save them forever.

The thought of leaving them, even for a little while, was almost unbearable, but I had to remind myself that I was doing this for them too.

I wanted to spend time with them, But all too soon, reality crept back in, reminding me that I couldn’t stay here forever.

When it was time to leave, I hugged them tightly and gently placed them back in their crib, kissing the tops of their heads. “I love you both so muc
