Rose’s POV

She wasn’t going to push me. But I knew she had already made up her mind. She knew what I needed to do, and deep down, so did I.

“I will stay,” I finally said, my voice firmer this time. “For three months. I’ll learn how to control my powers. I’ll make sure I never hurt anyone.” I said to the wizard.

The wizard’s expression softened. For the first time since we’d started talking, I saw a hint of relief in her eyes.

She nodded slowly, as if she had expected me to come to this decision all along. “That’s the right choice, Rose,” she said quietly. “You won’t regret it.” she told me happily.
