Alpha Kanen’s POV
The breeze here in the mountain was cold and it melted my skin but not as the decision of Rose melts my heart.
I just couldn’t figure out why she would want to stay here in the mountains for three months.
As I stood facing Rose, her expression was as stubborn as ever. I had tried everything—reasoning, pleading—but nothing seemed to work.
Rose had made up her mind, and I could see the strong will burning in her eyes.
“Rose,” I began again, my voice steady but filled with frustration, “you don’t need to worry about my sickness. As long as you’re with me, I will be fine. We can figure this out together, but not here.” I told her gently.
Rose shook her head, her arms crossed over her chest. “Kanen, I can’t just leave. You know that. The wizard is the only one who can help me find a cure for you.” She said to me and I couldn’t stop wondering if the wizard might have brainwashed her.
