I felt hurt and confused at Eleanor's sudden change of reaction towards me when I made to calm her down from whatever she saw that got her scared.
"It's only me, Eleanor" I found myself replying gently but it only made her coil up even more. She must have seen me in her nightmare.
That's the only logical conclusion as to why she had avoided me with fear written all over her face. I had let my guard down too much and expected something more from Eleanor, despite the type of person I was.
Even Cameron hides away during tough times when I needed her the most. I had thought Eleanor will be different, that she would love me regardless of anything.
