Eleanor's POV

"Don't believe that crazy talk, Eleanor" my subconsciousness reminded me, and I tried hard to keep up with that… But my brain keeps getting anxious and extremely curious. My heart couldn't help but waver at the thought of finding out eventually that there's a possibility that Derek has a connection with the serial killer.

I tried convincing myself otherwise, but this feeling of curiosity won't die down so easily. Three 'what ifs' kept evading my mind. 

'What if he's the killer behind my parent's death?'

'What if he's the beast behind Laura's death?'

'What if he had tried to kill Ethan to bury the truth forever?'

Just what if these were true? Then what would become of me? I couldn't help asking myself. 

I hurriedly looked for the kitchen, I needed to clear my mind of crazy thoughts. It was probably an illusion I wanted to believe that, but I kept having doubts.
