Chapter 66

Eleanor's POV

I inhaled heavily as I suddenly became conscious. I opened my eyes quickly and all that came to my mind was my baby. I turned around to see where he was, and my gaze fell on my baby, lying perfectly beside me, sleeping. I heaved a sigh of relief, wiping my forehead with my palm. I was back in the room I was kept before as I looked around. I exhaled slowly, feeling disappointed at my failed attempt to escape from the palace.

My mind wandered off suddenly to the last thing I saw before going unconscious. I breathed heavily as memories of him transforming into a mysterious animal flashed in my mind.  My face was pale and drawn, my eyes went wide open with terror, and my hands trembled gently. At this point, I was breathing quickly and shallowly, and my heart was racing. I could not help but think about it. I could not get it off my mind.

He is a beast and a monster. I must be careful and wary around. I must not let him harm my baby. I thought in my mind. I
