Chapter 66. Threatened

We made it into the parking lot, and Jerry settled me into the passenger seat, before he climbed into the driver’s seat after Mandy sat in front.
“Hurry up!” Mandy exclaimed, looking back at me as she strapped on her seatbelt. “We need to bring her to the hospital before something happens to her and to her baby!”
“I know! I know!” Jerry drove off quickly, and soon the hospital appeared in sight, though it seemed like hours had passed—excruciatingly long hours.
“We have an emergency!” I heard Mandy yell, and tears began to stream down my face at this point. “Emergency, please! Nurse help us!”
I may not be very knowledgeable about pregnancy, but I understand that bleeding can be concerning. I hope that my baby is safe.
Jerry carried me out of the car, and a medical staff met us, pushing a wheelchair. Mandy helped me check in while Jerry stayed outside the emergency room.
