I observed Jerry as he set the tray down on the table, grasped the spoon, and gathered a spoonful of porridge, then carefully brought it to my mouth.

“I’m not a fucking child! Stop doing this!” I uttered a wail as I jerked my head back and fidgeted on the bed, in an attempt to break out of my restraints.

Jerry chose not to respond verbally. He used one hand to hold my jaws, forcing my mouth to open, and brought the spoon forward inside my mouth—a silent, wordless threat for me to stop opposing him.
