Chapter 89
Summer POV
“Where is Ezra?” Katrina paced the little bookshelf that’s wedged between the high-end store and a spice shop.
The owner ran off when the attack began. We barred the door with the bookshelf but the huge glass window left us vulnerable. The tables and chairs wouldn’t do much to protect us.
I glared at Katrina. Didn’t she think I wanted to know where my mate was too?
Amber hadn’t steered or murmured. She took a nasty blow.
“This bookstore won’t hold us for long why are you so calm!”
“Because freaking out won’t help me, Katrina. I’ve been in situations like this before. I need to come up with a plan.”
“My plan was better! Going home now look at Amber. Oh my gosh, poor thing.”
“Going home wasn’t realistic. Didn’t you see the chaos out there?”
Katrina gasped. “Her Mother, I’m calling Ellen.”
She’s not even listening to me.
“No service. They cut the service lines!”
