He stomped into the yard as he stood next to me. My eyes widen in fear.

“Oh Lucas, you're here, can you believe it that…” Britney said and she was immediately interrupted by Brian.

“You don't need to worry about anything you heard, this is a family matter,” Brian said, obviously trying to stop Britney from ruining my life. I was shaking knowing what he heard, but his reaction wasn't that bad so I assume he didn't hear the worst.

“As far as I am concerned, I am to be a member of this family. And I am to wed Ariana,” he said angrily as he turned to face Britney.

“And let this be the last time you threaten her or speak to her in any form of disrespect,” Lucas said. I was shocked and at the same time relieved.
