Chapter 34. Lucas' Surprise Gift
I tried to calm my nerves as I walked into the living room like I was panicking inside. I wondered what he was doing here, he had informed me that he had an important meeting.
Why is he here, did he hear of the news of what I did? This question ran through my head and I was scared of the outcome. As soon as I got to him, he turned to look at me, and I forced out a smile.
“Lucas you surprised me, what would you be doing here?” I asked.
“Oh dear, I was done with my meeting quite early and I came here to take you out, you see I want to invest my time to spend more time with you and get to know you,” he said and I sighed in relief, he didn’t know and I wondered how long the news was gonna get to him.
“Okay, then,” I responded, I was embarrassed by the dress I was wearing which was revealing and I was glad he hadn’t asked a question about where I was coming from, it was night already.
