Chapter 56. I Missed You

It was late when I entered Crescent Moon. The journey took more than two hours despite the fact that I ran all the way. It’s one of the benefits of being a werewolf, being able to travel long distances on foot.
As soon as my feet touched the soil of Crescent Moon territory, I changed back to my human form and quietly headed to the main gate.
I hesitated at the gates of the castle, my heart pounding as I stared at the shiny decorations placed carefully against the iron bars.
“I missed you,” the decorations read.
The words were designed with tiny light bulbs, and it looked so beautiful. I smiled and slowly ran my hands through the decorations.
This was Kaelan’s doing.
After I had admired the decorations for a while, I entered the castle and headed to my room but I noticed the petals scattered along the path leading to my room. Also, the sweet smell of roses could be felt in the air.
I felt a tingle in my stomach.
