Chapter 76. Spilt Milk
“Open the door Paris,” Marcel asked softly.
I shook my head and sniffled. “No.”
“Come on, Kitten. Everything’s fine now.”
I ran a hand across my wet nose. I trembled uncontrollably. I needed Marcel but I couldn’t see him like that after what he did to Rafael. All the blood and the mess in the living room was too much for me.
“My love please,” Marcel begged.
“I just can’t see you… covered in blood.”
I heard him sigh. “Your brother’s clinging to life. I think you should speak to him.”
“What?”
“I’ve called for help but I don’t know what good it’ll do for him.”
“O-okay.”
I got up and unlocked the door. I cracked the door open but Marcel wasn’t on the other side. I heard movement in the living room and froze.
“You can come now, Paris, it’s safe,” Marcel said.
