Chapter 62

Hayes’ POV

Jang and I arrived at the Jade Moon pack. I barged into the pack house with the patrol and warriors following closely behind us. They were growling and snarling, but they didn’t attack. Although we had a good relationship with them, this situation could have easily be led to jeopardize the alliance.

I pushed open the pack house door and followed Henry’s scent, which led me to the study. I froze momentarily when I entered. The room was a complete mess, with glass shattered everywhere. Henry didn’t lift his head to see who had entered. He was sitting in the corner of his office, looking utterly defeated, his shoulders slouched, and his hair falling over his face.

“Oh man…” I chuckled, glancing around the room. “You’ve really lost it. All for a woman who isn’t yours?”

Just then, the door swung open abruptly, and the witch stepped into the room, glaring at me fiercely. I could sense her power; she was definitely a witch.
