A week had passed, and the rogues had not attacked. They must have suspected that we knew and held; they wanted the element of surprise.

However, last night, the witch, Alisha, appeared to Hayes in a dream, telling him that Boris planned to attack the pack with all his strength this week. It was still strange that she chose to appear to Hayes, especially given that he hated her, and she did too. ‘Probably to aggravate him,’ my wolf said. Indeed, he complained having a bad sleep when he woke up. Alpha Henry called us again to confirm in the morning on a Video call.

We had called a meeting with the entire pack, including all age-appropriate members, to inform them about the impending conflict. I was standing on the large stage alongside my brother, sister, beta, gamma, and my mate. I could see the worry etched on Ruby’s face; she blamed herself for the war, despite our repeated reassurances that it wasn’t her fault. The blame lay solely with Boris.
