Chapter 14. Eleanor and Elton

Elton’s POV.

I made my way hastily to the underground hole where they had held Daphne. I literally ran to the place, my heart shattered at what my parents were going to do to her.

My cousin.

I had never figured out why they hated her so much. She was such a pure girl, and she would never steal. It didn’t matter that she was made a slave and an ordinary help, Daphne would never steal. Mother had successfully framed her up, hoping to get rid of her and father was solidly behind her.

A duel?

That was more like a death sentence. Even with the fact that Daphne had finally shifted and might be able to defend herself, it still didn’t mean that she could beat my father. He was a killer, he had been a wolf all his life. He would finish her within seconds.

I knew he didn’t want to duel to not disobey some stupid pack laws. He was the Alpha, he could do whatever he wanted and no one really needed to know what happened with the jewelry. No one cared.
