Chapter 20. The Friend

George’s POV.

Dad’s arrival was sudden and unexpected. As soon as he was back at the mansion he threw a party, just like he always did to celebrate every small thing. Father was a boisterous man, and ready to party at any time.

I met him at the ballroom for the first time since he got back from wherever he had run off too. We exchanged a big and then he went off to attend to the rest of his guests. I stood in a corner and watched him.

He was so happy, as he usually was, and seeing him happy made me happy.

He was only ever truly happy when…….when mother wasn’t around.

I didn’t want to think about all that right now. There was so much more to think of and bother about than how failed my parent’s relationship was.

So much to think about like how I was eagerly waiting for Harris’s return and news about the girl from Diamond crescent pack. I took another glass of wine from the servers holding trays. Just then Harris mindlinked me.

“Alpha Kingsman
