Chapter 16. The Escape

The central pack was crowded tonight. Many people were waiting to see who the Alpha would punish.

I looked from my car packed just beside it. Daphne and Elton were already at the location, in their cages.

I was determined to teach Elton a lesson and so I decided he would watch Daphne from his cage. He would be directly opposite her when I killed her and he wouldn’t be able to do anything.

I got out of the car. I don’t know why I expected anyone to cheer me as I walked by, all they did was bow in respect, lowering their heads till it was almost touching the floor.

I go to the centre of the arena that had been set up for a duel. I looked behind me at Elton and Daphne’s cage. The cages had been covered up from the outside till it was time for the duel.
