Chapter 27. Daphne Arrives to the Green Moss

Daphne’s POV.

I was woken up suddenly by someone yanking me up and I saw that it was Ekez, the rogue.

I regained complete consciousness and soon saw that a fight had broken out in the camp grounds. Ekez didn’t give me time to recollect my senses as he drew me close and whispered in my ears “get out of here immediately and don’t stop until you’ve seen someone.”

As soon as he had said what he said to me I turned and started running. I didn’t know where I was going but I kept running. I hadn’t felt the way I felt in a long time, not since when…….not since when Uncle Fergus had beaten me last.

What if………..? I didn’t want to imagine it yet I knew it was a possibility.

I had only run for a while when I felt something jump on me from behind. I didn’t anyone to remind me of how Fergus felt, and how he liked to attack. I knew it too well.
