Chapter 5. The Punishment for Not Finding a Mate

The trip back home was a very quiet one. No one dared be merry when the Alpha was angry. The help began unpacking. When we alighted I almost forgot I was a part of them and was supposed to be unpacking for everyone else as well.

We finished what we were meant to do. As I was getting ready to retire to the basement from the cellar I heard Elton clear his throat from behind me. I turned to look at him.

Elton groaned jokingly. “Dad’s tea dimwit. Here I’ll help you take it up, I need to speak with him anyway.”
