“And will she be okay?” Erian asked his older brother for the millionth time.
Matt rolled his eyes, retracting his fangs and setting the blood bag aside.
“Can you calm down?” The man just smiled as his brother glared at him “Of course she’s fine, she must have already eliminated the microorganisms from her system, she’s just unconscious, although it doesn’t look like her body has been through a lot, it’s lucky you didn’t transform her.”
“Pfff,” Sighed Erian. “He might not have survived; this is all my fault.”
“You bet.” Matt nodded with a solemn look on his face. “I still can’t believe you didn’t see the hunter.”
Erian averted his gaze; he also didn’t know how he hadn’t seen Cleyton’s blow coming until he already had a dagger buried in his chest; he had been too distracted that day, his mind totally off himself instead of being aware
