Chapter 19

“Aren’t you forgetting anything?” She asked him when he was at her side

Erian thought for a second and then denied it.

“No, I’m ready,” he replied with complete assurance before checking the watch in his hand. “And we’re right on time.”

Charlotte pressed her lips together; his quickness irritated her and somehow annoyed her; he hadn’t even really noticed her; it wasn’t until they left the house that he told her:

“You look beautiful.”

His flattery took her by surprise and she immediately felt her face start to heat up, as well as her heart start to beat wildly in her chest, she didn’t have time to say anything as he began to walk down the stairs to the porch and head towards the garage.

“Thank you” She murmured
