Chapter 46. Roses
POV Megan
The dawn falls like a veil over me and I am still lying on the grave of my best friend, I observe his tombstone beautifully built with the hands of members of Silver Moon and I deposit on it a bouquet of red roses impeccable, the only exception among them was a black rose in the center of the bouquet, I thought I could not cry more of how empty my eyes and my soul felt, but a tear falls inadvertently down my cheek.
I stand up while trying to appear firm in front of the herd; I feel a hint of pride to see the vast majority of them surrounding me and keeping me company. Dimitri, hours ago from alerting Dark Moon’s alpha about our visit, hadn’t rested a minute between the trip out, but by his firm and determined posture, I know that it won’t do any good to make him stay down, even if it’s just a couple of hours to rest.
