Megan's POV

“I’ve already checked you out, Megan, and I know the last thing you want is to be with Dark Moon’s alpha.”

“We’re a couple, life partners, you can’t get involved.” I hated having to need Adam to get out of this problem.

Marcus walked away, trying to hide his displeasure, but to no avail.

“That wasn’t the information I received...” Marcus frowned as he stepped back.

“Sorry to disappoint you,” I snort with obvious sarcasm.

He smiled.

“I know what you’re trying, and it won’t work.” His gaze was intent and penetrating. “You’ll have to try it.”

Crap. The guy was dreaming if he thought I would do that.
