Alpha Thor’s POV
My cousins spoke more to Dana than to me. I guessed they were used to my cold, uninterested responses by now as they referred to my attempt to converse with them.
Truthfully, I didn’t care what they had to say, especially them. They were relatives of my father’s family. Left to me, after my father’s death, I would have insisted they don’t show their miserable faces in my castle ever again.
Each one of them had, on several occasions, witnessed the way my father treated my mother, and they never said anything to him. They were either too scared to confront him or they didn’t care. I knew it was the latter. They had heated arguments with him when he was alive about every other thing—money, land, name it. But they never spoke about the way he treated my mother. They didn’t even want to hear from her, talk to her, or associate with her.
