Chapter 39. Road Rage

Alpha Caden's POV

“I have to make it work.”

“But how, Caden? Do you think forcing her to marry you will solve all this?”

I gave Henry a helpless look and shook my head, feeling so disappointed with myself. “Then what am I supposed to do, Henry? I am not just doing this so I can be with her. I am doing this so she never has to hide herself and feel scared about her dad or any judgment from other people. She doesn't deserve any of those.”

Henry stared at me and then took a small sip of his cup of coffee. We were in the office discussing the schedules for next week's clients, but my chaotic brain just couldn’t get past the frustrations and doubts I felt about me and Giselle. The situation, as I assessed it, would be just as simple if there were no doubts in Giselle’s heart about us tying the knot. But seeing her look
