Josephine’s POV

Tave Powers was the real-life picture of what Prince Charming would have looked like if he was real and not just some fictional character created to make teenage girls like myself with wild dreams swoon all over the television, tripping for him.

I did not faint this time when I saw him, nor did I attempt to do so, even though the thought of faking a slip was appealing at the time so he would hold me and prevent me from falling as it happened in the movies. Then, we would make eye contact and lock lips. And just like that, a beautiful love story will begin.

The thought of doing that was tempting, I’ll admit. But somehow, I could not get myself to do that. I was more concerned with what a handsome-looking guy like Tave was doing with such piercings in his ears and tattoos on his body. I had not noticed it last night because he was all suited up. I thought he looked better in the dim lights of the party without the tattoos.
