SCARLETT

I woke up to an empty bed and panicked. I guess I was already used to Finn being around me. I missed him. Terribly. The warmth of his body, the way he held me in his arms and never pulled away for once.

I placed the side of my cheek on the bed and stared at the television before me. It had been turned into a station that played soft country music. I stayed in that position for a while and just as I stretched my body, I heard the sound of the gates opening and a car driving in.

I jumped out of my bed before I even realized what I was doing. I didn't care if I was dressed in nothing but panties and a tiny top that could pass for a bikini bra. I hurried out of my room and ran down the corridor, smiling and hoping to see Finn's tall body climbing out of the car.

But it wasn't my car outside. It was another car. A familiar car. One that put dread in my body.
