It was time for me to leave. Raya was busy with Volkov as she seemed really happy seeing him. I liked that he was around though I am never going to admit it to him.

"He makes her happy," My mother said from the door as she watched Volkov. She was reading a letter he had written on her and a visible smoke was on her face. "I'm glad he's here. Scarlett really left an impact,"

"She did. I have to agree," I said and watched them. I was happy that she was happy. We were going to talk about her amputated leg soon enough. Whenever she was ready though.

"Finn," I turned to look at her. "You've not been at work for almost a week. You really need to have some rest so you can resume worn energized,"

I smiled and pecked her on the cheek. "I am fine, mum. Really."

"You've lot a bit of weight," She said as she touched my cheek. Her scrutinizing gaze washed over my body. "You should eat enough, okay?"

I laughed. "You know I always eat enough, mum. You
