"Who said that to you, baby?" I asked angrily. How could they dare to meddle in other people's affairs?
"Nania said that to me. She said her mommy told her that I am a bastard. According to Adam, 'bastard' means a pig. So I was called a pig by my friends," Noah said tearfully. His eyes radiated fear and sadness, making me feel pity for him.
Unbelievable! What kind of parents would let their child hear such hurtful words? How could they teach innocent children to gossip, as if the gossipers would end up in heaven?
I cursed them in my head, trying to keep my composure in front of my dear son.
