SASHA’S POV
“Sha, why didn’t you knock?” Mom gasped, nearly jumping out of her skin. The wedding dress catalog in her hands hit the floor, pages scattering everywhere.
“The door was open, Mom!” I snapped, my voice dripping with frustration. “Sorry, was I way out of line? Don’t worry, it’s not your fault for raising me wrong. A kid’s behavior isn’t just on the parents—the environment plays a part too. So decent parents don’t need to feel guilty if their kid grows up rotten and sinful.” My words were sharp—spicy as hell. I watched Mom’s face—she was nervous, caught off guard. Who wouldn’t feel stung? I meant to sting.
“Sasha!” she snapped, clearly stung to death by my words—like I’d tossed a chili bomb.
