SASHA’S POV
I looked away, fixing my eyes on the floor instead of Sam’s face. Did I still want to marry him?
Honestly, who could say no to a man like Sam—handsome, kind, filthy rich, and chasing after me? Not to mention, he came with an amazing mother-in-law.
“Rachel… Rachel once said she wouldn’t hate me if I weren’t her dad’s fiancée,” I muttered, struggling to keep my voice steady. I wanted to sound calm, but it came out barely above a whisper.
“I’m asking you, Sha. What do you want?” Sam pressed gently.
I didn’t like being cornered like this, as if the problem was all on me.
“What about you, Sam?” I shot back. “Marriage isn’t just about two people—it’s about families, too. I mean, don’t you love Rachel? She’s completely against this, and yet you’re pushing forward anyway.”
